The first time you open ClipLedge, macOS asks you to confirm it, the way it does for any app you install from outside the App Store. It takes a few seconds, you do it once per Mac, and after that ClipLedge opens with a normal double-click every time.
On macOS 15 and later
On macOS Sequoia and later, you confirm the app in System Settings.
- Double-click ClipLedge in your Applications folder. macOS tells you it cannot verify the app; that is expected.
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and scroll down to the Security section.
- Click Open Anyway next to the note about ClipLedge, and confirm with Touch ID or your password.
ClipLedge then opens, and launches normally from then on.
On macOS 14
On macOS Sonoma, you can confirm straight from Finder.
- Find ClipLedge in your Applications folder.
- Right-click (or Control-click) it and choose Open.
- In the dialog, click Open again.
After that, ClipLedge launches normally every time.
Why this step exists
ClipLedge is code-signed and checks its own integrity at every launch. This one-time confirmation is simply how macOS treats apps distributed outside the App Store, and it is not a sign that anything is wrong. See the download page to get ClipLedge.
