Features FAQ
Does it capture images and files, not just text?
Yes. ClipLedge keeps text, rich text, images, files, links and app objects, with every format an app put on the clipboard, so a re-paste restores the exact item. A Keynote shape pastes back as a shape.
How does searching inside screenshots work?
ClipLedge reads the text in copied images with on-device OCR (Apple’s Vision framework), so a screenshot of an invoice turns up when you search its number. It runs on your Mac; nothing is uploaded, and you can switch it off.
What is the paste stack?
Queue several clips with one key, then paste them into the app in front, in order, with Paste All. A bar along the bottom of the shelf shows the queue, and each queued card gets a number.
What syncs between my Macs?
Text clips, through a shared folder you already have (iCloud Drive by default), with no account and no server. Images and files stay on the Mac they were copied on. Set up sync.
Which macOS versions are supported?
ClipLedge is a native Mac app for macOS 14 or later, on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later).
