ClipLedge is free for 7 days, then needs a license. One license covers one Mac. Activating is a one-time online step, after which the app works offline.
Where to enter your license key
Open Settings > License, paste your license key into the field, and press Activate. Your key looks like CLPL1- followed by a long string; it arrives by email after you buy.
What activation does
ClipLedge checks the key on your Mac first, then contacts the activation server once to claim this Mac. From then on it verifies the license offline at every launch, so you do not need to be online to use it. One license is only ever active on one Mac at a time.
If activation does not work
- “This license is already in use on another Mac.” The seat is held by another Mac. Move the license across by deactivating it there first, or contact support to free the seat if that Mac is gone.
- “Couldn’t reach the activation server.” Check your internet connection and try again. Being offline never removes a license you have already activated; it only blocks a new activation.
- The key is not accepted. Make sure you copied the whole key, including the
CLPL1-prefix, with no extra spaces.
